Need to Use a Debit or Prepaid credit card?

Major Credit Cards Accepted

Marathon Car Rental Requires a major credit card to rent a car. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and Diners.

Authorization Policy

The minimum authorization taken at the time of rental is $300. The authorization amount will be greater if the projected rental fees exceed $300, and/or if you are renting a luxury car.

Debit Card Policy

Marathon Car Rental will accept Debit Cards from major banks for payment. If you are visiting from out of town and need to use a Debit Card, we will need to see your return airline itinerary. Renters wanting to use a debit card need to have full coverage insurance that is verifiable.

Prepaid Credit Card Policy

Marathon Car Rental does not accept Prepaid Credit Cards for authorization/deposit. You can use a prepaid card at the end of your rental to pay your rental fees but you will need a major credit card for the authorization.
